The Edited Excerpts:
Q. What are the core focus areas for your dealer partners in a post-COVID world?
Consumer-centricity, digitization, and safety are the main focus areas for our dealer partners.
Consumer-centricity: At Kia India, we want to embody all it takes to be as close as possible to our customers while offering any product and/or services, and with the renewed brand strategy for India.
Digitization: We have invested in digitizing the sales process since the launch of Seltos, our first product in India.Under our new brand identity of ‘Movement That Inspires’, we are committed to offering meaningful ownership experiences through digitized services that are complemented by one of the largest digitized networks aligned with our dealer partners. Hence, in the post-COVID- 19 digitized world, we will continue to further strengthen our ‘PHYGITAL’ model.
Safety: The recently-introduced “My convenience Service” initiative offers a quality vehicle maintenance program and is tailor made for our patrons. Health and safety of our employees and customers at the dealership continues to be our priority. We insist on mandatory wearing of masks, regular sanitisation of dealerships, maintaining social distance, etc. We are following all the safety guidelines stated by the concerned authorities and will continue to support them.
Q. What is the total number of outlets you have right now — in terms of 3S, only sales, only service, etc. and what’s your expansion plans?
1. Sales touch points: 229
2. Service points: 213
3. Total touch points: 298
4. City coverage: 178
We aim to enhance our sales network to 200-plus cities with over 350 touchpoints by the end of this year. They will include a mix of large, small, and mid-size sales and service outlets. However, everything will depend on market development owing to the on-going second wave of the pandemic. We won’t be able to provide any further break- up of our network like only 3S outlets/ only sales outlets/ only service, etc.
Note: All the data is an estimation based on the information received from various sources and extrapolated by ETAuto research.
