There is an old saying that nothing is certain except for death and taxes, but by now it should be clear that the adage is incomplete. It is also certain that new mobile phones will be emerging all the time. This week is a case in point. Vodafone has announced that it will be adding two new mobile handsets to the already extensive list of brands and models that work on its UK network.
The two new phones are both from major manufacturer Nokia and are dubbed the Lumia 710 and the Asha 201. The Lumia 710 will run on the popular Windows Phone OS – only the second Nokia phone to do so. The 710 will feature useful services sure to please consumers, such as Nokia Drive, free maps, and a built in version of IE9. The ‘People Hub’ interface will make it easier to stay updated with your networks of friends on a variety of social media services, including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. This feature combines chat, SMS messaging and email services.
While the Lumia 710 uses changeable covers to jazz it up, the Asha 201 is available only in white at this time. Features on this phone include a two-megapixel camera and a keyboard that adheres to the popular QWERTY layout. It also comes with an FM radio that will not only let you listen to songs but that will also allow you to record.
