One of the most exciting products on display at the Mobile World Congress this week is the Galaxy Beam projector phone manufactured by mobile giant Samsung. Running off Google's highly popular Android platform, the Galaxy Beam is well named since it can literally ‘beam’ an image, projecting it as far as 50 inches. All that a user needs besides the phone is a flat surface in range to receive the image.

Samsung, which makes both mobile phones and computer chips, experienced impressive growth in its smartphone division during the last quarter of the year just ended. In contrast, its chip division performed slightly less well than usual. According to Samsung’s official financial earnings figures, mobile phone sales during the three-month period increased by more than 50%, a figure that helped to net the company an operating profit in excess of £3 billion.

Most of us know that our American cousins have a more direct way of doing things than we do. To prove the point Samsung have released a rather funny TV ad on the other side of the pond that's clearly mocking the iPhone, or more specifically the people who buy iPhones.
