Three launched in the UK, appropriately enough on 3/3/2003, as the UK's first 3G network - a network built for the mobile internet. Today data is still very important for Three with many of their plans including "all you can eat data" - basically use as much as you like without getting charged!
Three currently cover 97% of the UK, you can make sure their network works where you are with this Three coverage checker.
Three tariffs
As you'd expect all Three tariffs offer a data allowance, to keep things nice and simple data comes as either 250MB or totally unlimited. If you just do a bit of emailing and browsing on your phone 250MB will be fine but if you want to do the fun stuff such as watching TV or streaming music
Three call charges
If you go over your inclusive minutes this is what you'll pay for calls/texts within the UK.
| Call type | Call cost |
| Calls to other Three users | 35p a minute |
| Calls to other networks | 35p a minute |
| Texts to other Three users | 12p each |
| Texts to other networks | 12p each |
| Calls to voicemail | 35p a minute |
| Calls to landlines | 35p a minute |
| Picture message | 35p each |
