The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is for all intents and purposes an Xperia X12, ie a follow up to last years very popular Xperia X10. In common with the latest crop of Android phones the Xperia Arc is right up to date with Android 2.3/Gingerbread. The X10 was very popular last year in part due to it's huge 4 inch screen, the Arc takes screen size one step further with a 4.2 inch display featuring a Mobile Bravia engine. Bravia is the same technology Sony use on their ever popluar televisions so it's no surprise the Xperia Arc gives a stunning video watching experience. Better still you can stream videos from the Xperia Arc directly to your TV via the HDMI socket.

The Xperia Arc packs in an amazing 8MP camera with HD video recording as well as GPS with the excellent Google maps making the Arc a viable alternative to a hand held sat nav unit.
