Samsung Galaxy S2 review
The Samsung Galaxy S2, also known as the i9100, takes over where the Galaxy S left off. The first thing you'll notice about the S 2 is the stunning Super Amoled display first seen on the Galaxy S, this technology is unique to Samsung and gives the clearest brightest display we've yet seen on a mobile. No prizes for guessing the Galaxy S2 is an Android handset running Android 2.3, aka Gingerbread. Under the bonnet is one of the first dual core processors seen in a mobile phone meaning you can multi task with ease and your apps will start quicker than ever.
As if the dual core processor and screen wasn't enough there's also an 8MP camera capable of shooting in full 1080p High Definition rather than 720 seen on lesser mobiles. For video calling there's also a front facing camera. Being Android based means you'll enjoy proper satnav with Google Maps and Streetview as well as a huge choice of business and pleasure apps to download from the Android Market. Not surprisingly all this technology means the Galaxy S2 is not a budget handset but for those of us wanting to stay at the cutting edge very little else comes close - or is likely in the near future.
